Map resources, analytical outputs, interactive dashboards and other tools for spatial-data analysis and decision support.
On this page we gradually publish the main outputs of the STENEO project produced during its implementation. These are mainly map resources, analytical outputs, interactive dashboards and other tools intended for spatial-data analysis and decision support.
The aim of these outputs is to present the research results clearly and to enable their use by the expert public as well as by project partners and public-administration institutions.
The published outputs include, for example:
- specialised maps presenting spatial analyses and thematic results of the project.
- interactive dashboards enabling data viewing and analysis in a user-friendly form.
- data and analytical outputs that serve as a basis for further research and planning.
New outputs will be gradually added to this page over the course of the project.
Vulnerability to energy poverty in the Ostrava Metropolitan Area
The map presents vulnerability to energy poverty at the micro-spatial level in the Ostrava Metropolitan Area (hereinafter OMA), based on the vulnerability index developed within the STENEO project.
The energy vulnerability index is a composite indicator based on variables characterising residents' socioeconomic status and the technical condition of housing, which capture the risks of household energy poverty. The data source at the level of basic settlement units (hereinafter BSU) is the 2021 Census of Population, Houses and Flats. It makes it possible to identify the areas most at risk from rising energy prices (e.g. the energy crisis of 2021–2023) or from a change of energy sources during the energy transition. The model was pilot-validated in the city of Ostrava – five social-work field workers operating in Ostrava were approached, as they have an overview of the distribution of vulnerable groups as well as of the material conditions of housing.

The interactive dashboard presents the results of a questionnaire survey carried out within the STENEO project at selected primary schools. It focuses primarily on pupils' environmental literacy while also reflecting the role of family and school through indicators relating to parents and school staff. Users can browse the results of individual schools and compare selected indicators.
